Saddle
Water Flow Detector can be used with wet pipe fire sprinkler systems in residential dwellings or mobile homes, and may be wired to a local bell and/or protection panel for outside notification to an alarm company for the fire department.
If the sprinkler system activates, the water flow detector can initiate the alarm, signaling to occupants and neighbors that there is a problem in the house. To be detected, water in the system must sustain a flow of 8 gallons per minute to deflect the vane and actuate a single-pole, double-throw snap action switch.
